Playing at Drawing - Class 2 of 4

Forget everything you think you know about drawing—this is not your typical art class! Designed for adults who believe they "can't draw," Playing at Drawing throws out the rulebook and replaces it with curiosity, experimentation, and a whole lot of fun. In this liberating and lighthearted class, participants will:

• Explore unconventional drawing tools and techniques that break all the traditional rules

• Loosen up with playful warm-up exercises designed to quiet your inner critic and free your hand

• Experiment with blind contour drawing, gesture sketching, mark-making, and other unorthodox approaches

• Discover that drawing is less about talent and more about observation, play, and creative courage

• Leave with a sketchbook full of surprising, expressive work you didn't know you were capable of making

Whether you haven't picked up a pencil since grade school or simply want to shake up your creative practice, this class is your permission slip to play, make a mess, and rediscover the joy of making marks on paper. No experience, no pressure, no wrong answers—just pure creative fun.

Each class is 2 hrs and will run over the course of 4 days: Sept 30, Oct 7th, Oct 14th and Oct 21st. All people ages 16 and up are encouraged to attend. All materials provided and the cost is per person.
