Sew Together: An Open Sewing Night
Bring your project, pull up a chair, and sew in good company! Sew Together is a relaxed sewing gathering for adults who want a cozy place to work on their own projects alongside others.
Bring whatever’s been waiting in your project basket: a quilt in progress, a garment you’ve been meaning to finish, a pile of mending, or a brand-new idea you’re ready to start. Our bright, light-filled studio has plenty of table space and great natural lighting, so you can see every stitch. Settle in with your own materials and enjoy a few unhurried hours of making.
Come with a friend and sew side by side, or come on your own and meet fellow makers from the neighborhood. Swap tips, share your progress, and enjoy the simple pleasure of making something with your hands in a welcoming community space. An instructor will be on hand to answer questions and offer a helping hand when you get stuck, so you can sew with confidence. All skill levels are welcome, from beginners to lifelong sewists.
What to expect:
A warm, bright studio with plenty of table space
An instructor available for questions and quick troubleshooting (this is an open sew, not a lesson)
A friendly, come-as-you-are atmosphere
Time to focus on your own project, whether it’s new, half-finished, or a mending pile
A chance to connect with other makers
What to bring:
Your project and all of your materials, including fabric, thread, notions, and patterns
Your own sewing machine, if your project needs one (we don’t have machines available, yet), or hand-sewing supplies
A friend, if you like!
The session is offered twice, so select the day you like from the drop down below:
