August 3rd to August 7th - Daily from 9am to 3pm - Open to kids in rising Grades 3-6
Discover the art of fabric, fiber, and fashion! Creative Threads is where young artists learn to sew, weave, design, and create with textiles in exciting and colorful ways. Campers will explore a wide range of fiber art techniques as they stitch, tie, braid, and craft their way through unique projects. From hand-sewing colorful felt creations and designing tie-dye masterpieces to weaving on small looms and creating fabric collages, kids will discover the endless possibilities of working with thread and fabric. Each project builds skills in planning, precision, and creative design while resulting in wearable art, decorative pieces, or functional crafts they'll be proud to show off. Whether stitching their first friendship bracelet, designing a custom tote bag, or experimenting with fabric painting and embroidery, campers will gain confidence with needle and thread while expressing their unique style. This camp is perfect for beginners and experienced crafters alike!
The field trip for this week will take us to a local destination via public transport.
All materials provided. Bring a lunch and a snack. Care available until 5pm onsite for $25/hr.
