Wire Beaded Charms

Get ready to bend, wrap, and bead your way to something fun and creative. In this hands-on class, middle schoolers will use colorful beads and flexible wire to create intricate charms—think fish, gumball machines, and other fun shapes that are equal parts charms and miniature art. Using pliers and wire-working techniques, participants will:

• Learn basic wire-wrapping and shaping techniques to build the forms

• String and weave colorful seed beads onto wire frames to create detailed, textured sculptures

• Design their own beaded creatures, objects, or characters from start to finish

• Add finishing touches like loops and clasps to wear their creation as a pin, charm, or pendant

Part sculpture, part jewelry, part puzzle—this project is a perfect challenge for creative middle schoolers who love detailed, hands-on work and want to walk away with something truly unique.

This is a 2 hour class. All kids in grades 5-8 are welcome to sign up. All materials are included and the cost is per person.
